Perhaps, Petrolite would know how many are still in operation. The catalyst used is lead oxide.

In Rijeka refinery, Bender is still in operation. It works very fine. I'm not sure in all at this moment, but active catalyst is PbS (elementary sulphur is continuously added to lead oxide for proper catalyst activity).
